Am -  Got to the meet at 8 chilled for a long time and watched our 2 mile crew.  My boy Julien did awesome, 10:11 and he's a freshman.  So proud.  After the 4x100m me, Paul, Skylar, and Alex went warming up.  We just ran around Saint George right in the middle of it.  I got about 4.5 mile then some strides before my race.

Race started out good speed, except we came through at 200 in 28 and it felt way to fast for a 28.  Usually I'm feeling great with 400 to go, ready to beast but man I had nothing today.  I felt pretty flat and just tried to hang on the last lap and qualify, which I did so that's good.  I had a good hard week of training so I ain't worried, it was good to get my first open 800m out of the way.

Jogged around for a while cuz I was anchoring our 4x400m team of me, Paul, Skylar, and Kawika.  It was such a beast race.  Kawika started out good enough we were in like 5th.  Skylar ran and another good leg and bumped us up to 4th.  Paul also came in clutch and got us into 3rd.  Our handoff was clutch and I was in 2nd chasing D-hells with Ike and a cedar dude right behind me.  I was gaining hard and I was thinking, "ooh baby I can win it for us."  Going onto the final straight Ike passed me and we caught d hills and we were all going ham.  Cedar came on me with like 10 meters left.  And bam, they ended up getting 3rd in front of us by .01 so yeah that sucked I wanted a medal.  But we qualified for state and I split a 50, possibly 49 so I'm very happy about that.

8.5 total for the day.

Well I had you crossing the line at 2:42... So, finishing at 3:31, puts up a 49! Lol at you!
