Am -  An easy 4 in the morning before school.

Pm -  Headed up to Spanish Fork around 10 am, had a nice lunch at Costa Vida at 12:30, got up to the high school around 2:45.  Me, Alex, Paul, and Jake walked the course to see where it went.  It was completely different from 2 years ago at Maple Mountain High School, and seemed to be pretty nice with no sharp turns.  After that, was able to chill for a while, even read some Frankenstein for AP Lit.  Eventually got going on like a 4 mile warm-up.  I felt really good in my energy level and stuff.

Race went down like this.  Had a good start, I got into the front 20 or so.  After about .75 miles, I was in a pack right behind AF's top 2.  Ha, some kind right next to me said to the kid behind him something like, "get off my a**, you've been right on me the whole time!"  I just kinda laughed inside my head cause for reals, we were running a cross country race, I had been pushing and shoving dudes all over the place.  A bit after a mile, AF's 3rd guy broke away a bit and I moved up towards him a bit, and for the next mile I just worked right there, trying to not let him get out of my grasp.  At 2 miles, I was hurting, I had done a pretty good job not letting off the gas.  Olympus' 1st guy passed me here.  With 800m to go, I dug a bit more, and was gaining slowly on 3rd and 4th place.  I was just about 15 meters behind those 2 with 200 meters to go, when Olympus guy throws in a massive kick and battles the AF kid for 3rd.  By now I was spent, so my finish wasn't my best speed.  But I'm pretty happy with my race; there's a few spots I should have made a short surge to stay with AF and stuff.  But you know what they say; it happens. #liveandlearn

Fun race, our team did alright too.  We got 4th, just 16 points off 2nd place.  Our 2 and 3 have really stepped it up this season.  Unfortunately our 3 should be like our 5 or 6 so hopefully some more guys can step it up and we will beast and feast!  Going into the final part of the season; it's about to go down . . . .  Word out.
